For most people, no. Mystery shopping with Helion Research is best seen as a flexible way to earn extra income, not as a full-time job. Work is project-based, so the number of assignments varies by country and period, and registering does not guarantee a set number of assignments.

Why it works best as extra income
- Project-based work. Assignments appear when a client project starts in your area, and stop when it ends.
- Selection. You apply for assignments, and your Panel Manager selects shoppers who fit the profile. In big cities, several shoppers often apply for the same location.
- Pay per assignment. Assignments pay around €5 to €150 each, depending on length and complexity. There is no fixed salary.
- Contractor status. Mystery shoppers are independent contractors, not employees, so there is no holiday pay, sick pay or other employee benefits. You handle your own tax declarations and cover your own costs unless reimbursement is stated.
Who it suits
Mystery shopping suits people who want to earn extra money around a job, studies or family: you choose which assignments to apply for and how many you take on. Many shoppers combine several assignments to increase their income.
