You’ve just joined Helion — the global agency behind thousands of mystery shopping missions worldwide.
Before you begin, it’s essential that you either read this guide or watch the video above, which covers everything in under 5 minutes.
You’ll learn how to set up your profile, apply for tasks, complete visits correctly, and get paid.
Before applying for any jobs:
Go to My Profile → More
Enter your IBAN number or PayPal email
This is required to ensure you are paid after completing your assignments.
Log in to the Helion portal
Go to the Job Board
Click Apply on a task
Select a date when you can complete the mystery visit
Once applied, the task will appear in My Applications.
If the task is assigned to another shopper, it will automatically be removed from your My Applications list without notification.
If you are assigned the task, you will receive a confirmation email, and the task will appear under My Jobs in your profile.
Go to My Jobs
Click Go to open the task
Read the visit instructions carefully
Complete the certification quiz (multiple choice)
You must score 100% to unlock the survey
As you answer:
If your answer is correct, the entire question and all answer options will be highlighted in green
If none of the options turn green, your answer is incorrect — review and try again before submitting
You can retake the quiz if needed
Once you score 100%:
Return to My Jobs
The survey for the task will now be unlocked and ready to access
Note: The certification quiz is not the same as the survey.
The quiz checks your understanding of the task. The survey is completed after your visit.
Before your visit:
Read the full survey
Review the information box at the top
Contact your panel manager if anything is unclear
If needed, request a deadline extension in advance (only one is allowed)
During your visit:
Follow the task instructions exactly
Act naturally and do not reveal that you are a mystery shopper
Pay close attention to the required details — you’ll need them for your report
After your visit:
Return to My Jobs
Open and complete the survey
The Submit button appears only when all questions are answered
Use the final check button at the end of the survey before submitting
Payments are made via IBAN or PayPal, depending on your profile settings
Make sure your payment info is entered correctly in My Profile → More
Payments are processed automatically on the 20th of the month after successful task completion
